HR Generalist, focus on Recruiting and Employer Branding (m/f/d)

About the role
NEX Aero is building a new class of heavy lift cargo drones. We are still early in the process and growing the team across engineering, operations, business, finance, and regulatory. Hiring the right people at this stage shapes how the company works and how fast we progress.

We are looking for an HR Generalist who can build a solid recruiting foundation, strengthen our employer brand, and manage the essentials of HR operations. You will work closely with the CEO and team leaders to understand hiring needs across functions, keep the recruiting process clear and structured, and ensure candidates have professional and respectful experience.

A core part of the role is employer branding. You help define how NEX Aero presents itself to talent in Munich’s competitive market, choose the right channels and communicate who we are and what we offer in a consistent and credible way. This is not a corporate HR setup. This is a hands-on role where you set up simple systems, keep them organized, and improve them as we grow.
Your responsibilities
Recruiting
  • Run end to end recruiting roles across hardware and software engineering,  operations, business, finance and regulatory
  • Write clear job descriptions with the hiring managers
  • Screen applicants, conduct first interviews, and coordinate next steps
  • Identify the most relevant channels to reach strong and diverse talent in Munich and beyond
  • Guide to hiring managers on role profiles, interview structure and selection discipline
  • Ensure consistent candidate experience and represent NEX professionally at every step

Talent sourcing
  • Build a simple, structured sourcing approach for technical and non-technical roles
  • Map relevant talent pools in aviation, robotics, logistics, operations and business function
  • Reach out proactively to potential candidates when needed
  • Track sourcing efforts and adjustments based on channel performance.

Employer branding
  • Support the creation of consistent employer messaging for NEX Aero
  • Prepare content for LinkedIn, website and selected events
  • Highlight our work, culture, and open roles in a professional and credible way.Ensure our messaging speaks to a broad and diverse talent pool, including people returning to the workforce
  • Maintain basic employer brand materials such as visuals, templates, & short profiles

HR operations
  • Support contract preparation, onboarding basics, and simple HR admin
  • Maintain clean documentation and make sure information is up to date
  • Coordinate with finance on hiring related steps
  • Be a point of contact for straightforward HR questions from the team

Team collaboration
  • Discuss hiring needs and timelines with team leaders
  • Provide regular updates on recruiting progress and market signals
  • Suggest improvements to the hiring process and candidate experience
Your profile
  • Three to five years' experience in HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition
  • Comfortable recruiting across engineering, operations, business and finance roles
  • Clear and professional communication skills in German and English
  • Able to write clean job postings and candidate messages
  • Familiar with LinkedIn and common recruiting tools
  • Basic understanding of German labor law and HR compliance, with the judgment to flag anything that requires legal review
  • Organised, proactive, and able to run small processes independently
  • You value diversity and inclusion and know how to integrate it into daily hiring work
  • This role is a strong fit for someone returning from parental leave who is looking for meaningful part time work in a focused and supportive environment
  • Interest in aviation, robotics or hardware engineering is a plus
